Here are some construction details to help your sewing:

Brim attached to stocking body

Turning the 1/4" seam allowance of ankle piece before appliqueing it to the stocking body.
For applique tutorial using starch and freezer paper, check out Simple Bird's video here, and Joanna of Fig Tree Quilt's method here. Note when preparing freezer paper templates, do not include seam allowances.

Alternatively, you can sew the ankle piece onto stocking body.

Pieces are assembled.

Iron on fusible batting.

Stitch stocking front and back together, trim seam allowances to approximately 1/4", and notch/clip seam allowances as required.

Turn stocking right side out. Voila! Almost done!

Finish the opening with a hang loop and facing.

Here is how the facing and hang loop should look like after understitching and facing turned to the wrong side.

Add faux fur trim for a more decorative look.
