I recently discovered the fun of making cold precess soaps. After trying several batches, I discovered that lotion bars are much easier and safer to make, and they can be used right away without the 4 week waiting time! I tried my own recipes by playing with different proportions and types of oils and beeswax. Several attempts later, I came up with something that is truly good-looking and wholesome to my skin.
It's really easy and quick to make. My recipe calls for about 35% semi-solid oil, 40% liquid oil, and 25% beeswax. Simply melt everything inside a mason jar by placing the jar in a pot filled with almost boiling hot water. Let the liquid cool down a bit, add some Vitamin E and essential oil of your choice. Before the liquid hardened, pour it into soap mold. That's all, enjoy!
